Professor Andrea Alimonti Awarded the 2024 Cloëtta Prize

Professor Andrea Alimonti, Group Leader at the Institute of Oncology Research (IOR) and Full Professor at the Institute of Translational Medicine (D-HEST) at ETH Zurich, has been selected as the recipient of the 2024 Cloëtta Prize. This prestigious accolade represents a significant recognition of Professor Alimonti's exceptional contributions to the field of cancer research.

The Prof. Dr. Max Cloëtta Foundation, which aims to support and promote medical research as well as related disciplines of natural sciences in Switzerland, has awarded the 2024 Cloëtta Prize to Professor Andrea Alimonti. The Foundation annually honors Swiss and foreign scientists who have made exceptional contributions to specific areas of medical research. Professor Alimonti is being recognized for his groundbreaking work in cellular senescence and tumour immunology, which has led to the development of new therapies for metastatic prostate cancer.

The award ceremony will take place in Lausanne on Friday, 29 November 2024.
